Don’t confuse this guide with one on how to boost your FPS/performance. This will just unlock the 200FPS limit. Remember that more FPS result in higher stress for your hardware. Without any FPS limit it is also likely that the FPS fluctuate a lot more which causes the game to feel less smooth even at higher fps. It is always recommended that you aim for a more constant FPS over the highest achievable.
Unlock the 200 FPS Limit
1. Go to: ….\Steam\steamapps\common\A.V.A\avaGame\Config
(Commonly C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\A.V.A\avaGame\Config)
2. Open “AVAOptionSettings.ini”
3. Change the following values:
- “bEnableVSync=False” to “bEnableVSync=True”
- “bUseVSync=False” to “bUseVSync=True”
- “VerticalSync=False” to “VerticalSync=True”
4. For Nvidia Users:
- Open Nvidia System Settings (Nvidia Control Panel)
- Go to “Manage 3D Settings”
- Go to tab “Global Settings” (or Application Settings -> then choose AvA:DT)
- Set “Vertical Sync” to Off
4. For AMD Users (not sure if its working):
- Open AMD Catalyst Control Center
- Go to “Gaming”
- Go to tab “Global Settings” (or Application Settings -> then choose AvA:DT)
- Set “Wait For Vertical Refresh” to Off (Froce it to be Off!)
5. Done!
The ingame FPS Counter will still show 200 or 201 FPS. However if you use an alternative FPS counter (e.g Steam’s FPS Counter or RTSS or Nvidia’s FPS Counter) it will show the correct FPS. I get around 300FPS.
If things reset everytime you start the game, you might set “AVAOptionSettings.ini” to Read-Only (Caution with this, it might break the game. Revert back to normal if so).
