Battletech: Contract Enemy Guide

This is a general guide to the amount of enemies you will face on different contracts.

Introduction

Note that is is only a simple guide and a way for me to track the contracts and enemy amounts. Other people might find this part useful so they can get an idea of how many enemies they will face on a certain difficulty/contract.

There are various contract types. Included are OpFor details from actual missions.

Assassinate
Eliminate the target with also 1 lance (sometimes an additional tank/mech that doesnt belong to either objective). The target may be heavier than other missions at this level. May also be 1 lance of reinforcements. You can evac after killing the target.

  • 0.5 skulls – 1 light mech + 3 light tanks + 1 med mech
  • 0.5 skulls – 2 light mechs + 2 light tanks + 1 med mech
  • 0.5 skulls – 3 light mechs + 1 med mech
  • 2 skulls – 2 light mechs + 1 med mech + 1 heavy mech + 1 light tank + 1 med tank
  • 2.5 skulls – 1 light mech + 3 heavy mechs
  • 3.5 skulls – 1 light mech + 1 assault mech (evac’d)
  • 3.5 skulls – 4 heavy mechs + 1 light mech + 1 assault mech
  • 3.5 skulls – 5 med mechs + 1 light mech + 1 heavy mech + 2 heavy tanks
  • 4.5 skulls – 3 assault mechs + 4 heavy mechs + 1 light mech + 2 assault tanks
  • 4.5 skulls – 4 assault mechs + 3 heavy mechs + 1 light mech + 2 assault tanks

Attack Convoy
Attack a convoy of tanks before they get to their objective (10 rounds) and their guard of 1 lance.

  • 2 skulls – 3 med mechs + 4 med tanks (apcs)
Battle

Generally 1 enemy lance plus 1 reinforcement lance for a mix of 8 tanks / mechs. This generally always has 8 enemy and they can spawn close together so you can easily find yourself fighting all 8 at the same time.

  • 0.5 skulls – 2 light tanks + 2 med tanks
  • 0.5 skulls – 1 light mech + 1 med tank + 2 light tanks
  • 0.5 skulls – 2 light mechs
  • 2 skulls – 4 heavy tanks + 4 med mechs
  • 2.5 skulls – 2 med mechs + 2 heavy mechs (no reinforcements)
  • 3 skulls – 1 assault mech + 1 light mech
  • 4 skulls – 2 assault mechs + 2 heavy mechs + 2 heavy tanks + 2 assault tanks
Capture Base

Move to a base and fight 1 lance.

  • 0.5 skulls – 3 light mechs
  • 1.5 skulls – 4 turrets + 3 med mechs
  • 1.5 skulls – 8 light mechs
  • 3 skulls – 3 med mechs + 3 heavy mechs + 1 assault tank
Defend Base

Defend a base against 1 lance, sometimes allied tanks will active turrets then defend against another enemy lance, which can drop in behind the base.

  • 0.5 skulls – 4 light mechs
  • 1 skulls – 5 light mechs + 1 light tank
  • 1.5 skulls – 9 light mechs + 2 med tanks
Destroy Base

Move to a base and fight 1 lance and destroy the 4 turrets & buildings.

  • 0.5 skulls – 1 light mech + 1 med tank + 2 light tank
  • 0.5 skulls – 3 med tanks + 1 light tank
  • 0.5 skulls – 2 med tanks + 2 light tanks
  • 3 skulls – 3 heavy mechs
Escort

Move to a rally point and eliminate 1 lance, move with allied tanks to a drop point and possibily fight 1 lance.

  • 1.5 skulls – 3 light mechs + 1 light tank + 3 med mechs
  • 1.5 skulls – 4 light mechs + 2 med tanks + 2 med mechs
Recovery

Move to a location and recover the item or eliminate 1 lance. There may also be a secondary location to capture another close by.

  • 0.5 skulls – 1 light mech + 2 med tanks + 2 light tanks
  • 1.5 skulls – 1 heavy mech + 1 heavy tank
  • 1.5 skulls – 3 light mechs + 3 med tanks + 1 heavy tank
  • 2 skulls – 1 med mech + 2 heavy mechs
  • 2 skulls – 6 light mechs + 2 med tanks
  • 2.5 skulls – 1 med mech + 3 heavy mechs
  • 2.5 skulls – 1 med mech + 3 heavy mechs
  • 2.5 skulls – 2 heavy mechs + 1 med mech + 1 assault tank
  • 2.5 skulls – 2 med mechs + 1 heavy tank + 1 assault tank
  • 3 skulls – 3 heavy mechs
  • 3 skulls – 4 heavy mechs
  • 3.5 skulls – 2 heavy mechs + 2 assault mechs
  • 3.5 skulls – 1 heavy mech + 3 assault mehcs
  • 4 skulls – 4 assault mechs
