Command & Conquer Remastered Allied Campaign Walkthrough (DEFCON None Achievement)

A walkthrough for the Allied Campaign on the Hard difficulty with detailed description. Remember that for a DEFCON None achievement you need to complete both Allied & Soviet Campaigns on the hardest difficulty option.

Allied Campaign Walkthrough

Allied Mission 1 In The Thick Of It

To be honest, the introduction to the mission itself is way longer than actual playthrough, your only chances in failing are in two occasions First, you send your Tanya close to the Tesla Coil without destroying Power Plants with explosive barrels, it is pretty brain deadSecond, but it occurs for most of the times for me, it’s when Cruisers shell Tanya by accident while I’m still in the base wrecking havoc to anything. Once the mission is started, you can send all of your Rangers to destroy the barrels near Power Plants, there is no need to even wait for Tanya. Someone make a video of 100 ways to fail this mission, please…

Allied Mission 2 Five to One

A very easy mission to complete, but be sure that you have be ready for a fourth mission, where Soviets will have even bigger superiority. You will begin that mission with all forces and buildings remaining from this mission, so you might prepare some Rocket Soldiers against aircrafts. You will receive multiple reinforcements with basic Riflemen and Ranger Scouts, that will be enough to damage and finally destroy the Soviet base. Approach the Soviet base from the north, there are multiple barrels near Construction Yard to destroy, do not waste time and damage it. Then head southwest and enter the base, focus on the destruction of Barracks and any infantry inside the base, then focus on buildings. Once whole base is destroyed, all remaining Soviet forces will come to attack you, fend of their attacks and Convoy will arrive.

Allied Mission 3 Dead End

The first Commando strike mission in the Allied campaign, it also does not have any cinematic before the mission, only a briefing. There are two areas to strike, they have different map layouts but in overall these missions are short and would not make you big problems. Your only issues might be the Soviet Attack Dogs, remember that these can kill Tanya with one simple jump and it fails the mission.

And like in the vanilla Red Alert 1, Tanya does not shoot on her own (except retaliation), so dogs are your primary target. There are four bridges to destroy at the end of the mission, one of them has a small surprise of incoming Heavy Tank, pathfinding might screw you. Also keep an eye on the V2 Launcher nearby the bridges, Tanya must be always on the move, otherwise she will be dead with 1 rocket.

Allied Mission 4 TEN to One

Soviets got angry and brought the armor. The reds are back to the area from Mission 2 where you had to clear the area for approaching Convoy, and they are way tougher than before. While their base previously had been a joke, full of barrels without even Flame Turrets for defense, they deployed also the Heavy Tanks. Heavy Tanks are double barreled monsters, way slower than Allied tanks, but hey, two barrels are two barrels, double the firepower.

You will have to deploy Light Tanks in this mission for a first time from your War Factories, two Factories will be enough to not waste the precious ore. A good number of Harvesters and Ore Refineries to gather resources, would be 2-3 miners per Refinery, remember that in RA1 Harversters are dumb. Oh, and some Rocket guys will be a good choice to train because Soviets will make paradrops, send Yaks against you too. Soviets will sellout all the buildings once their production facilities (Conyard, War Factory, Barracks) are destroyed for good.

Allied Mission 5 Tanya’s Tale

Beginning of the mission – send your Spy to the War Factory, avoid dog patrols, you have plenty of time and error margin is really wide here. When you reach the Soviet Prison on the island, send the Spy inside – he will die as hero, releasing Tanya from NKVDs captivity there. Destroy the remaining SAM Sites in area (4) and incoming soldiers, Chinook will arrive to take Tanya on board, now the second part begins. Reinforcements with Allied tanks and infantry will come to assault small Soviet base (surely quite empty), use Engineers to capture the buildings. Remember that Flame Tower’s range is quite short and your tanks (even Rocket Soldiers) can outrange it without casualties. Once you gather enough Heavy Tanks, you can attack the Soviet base to the south, destroy their vital production buildings to force a sellout event.

Allied Mission 6 Iron Curtain Infiltration

Missions begins with having a quite low cash and several Soviet infantry units harassing you, first focus on stable economy flow. Few Pillboxes are also a good choice to build, these nasty Flame Troopers are quickly decimated by their superior range, and your infantry is vulnerable. Do not forget also about proper anti-aircraft defence, your Rocket Troopers + Riflemen to catch their paratroopers, Soviets use Yaks and MiGs a lot here. Before you even think of sending a Spy to the Tech Center, clear the waters from Soviet Submarines, unfortunately all you have are paper Gunboats.

Make also a correct invasion force of 20-25 Medium Tanks + Spy in proximity, just ram inside a base and destroy their most critical buildings to make things faster. Infiltrate Tech Center with Spy and proceed to clear a map from Soviet presence, unfortunately it also means a Submarine hunting in open sea, too. Oh, and if you want to block the Soviet Transports, just place a unit on the cell, it disables a possibility to unload the units, kek.

Allied Mission 7 Sunken Treasure

This is a mission where a lot of the people will struggle on hard, mostly because of limited resources in this mission and one annoying trigger. First, all you need to do is to destroy the Submarine Pens and nothing else, this is the only victory trigger in this mission that you must focus at. After CAPTURING the Radar Dome near your main base, concentrate on capturing the center of the map for Ore and Gems, this is crucial here, believe me.

Taking a Naval path in this mission on Hard is mostly a failure because Submarines + Tesla Coils will destroy your Destroyers (ugh) very fast. Make a proper ground force, basecrawl to the center of the map and destroy the incoming Soviet Harvester, otherwise they will collect YOUR ORE. It also triggers the Soviet All To Hunt behavior, this is why you need a big ground force to defend, once it’s done attack their base to the east. Head south and destroy everything on your path, capture the Sub Pen with an Engineer and produce Submarines to destroy remaining Sub Pens, mission completed.

Allied Mission 8 Protect The Chronosphere

This mission seems to be more difficult than in the vanilla on Hard, afaik the Soviet forces blocking you at the beginning, were way smaller for task force. There is no time on the Hard difficulty, you better be quick to reach the base with taskforce and MCV, utilize these 2 Destroyers as much as you can do. Once you reach the Soviet blockade, bring the Destroyers closer to help your ground units, Destroyers range is a valuable asset, handy to destroy the blockade.

First Soviet attacks will come in a matter of few minutes, and they are really painful if not prepared – Heavy Tanks, V2 Launchers, infantry and even Mammoth Tanks. South to the Advanced Power Plants there is a beachhead where Soviets will unload their units, very annoying pests, but you can block them with Destroyers. In this mission you do not have of course to destroy the Soviet base and all units, you just have to defend the power, Chronosphere and Tech Center for 45 minutes. Produce a mobile task force with Medium Tanks, move once your Harvesters are threatened by the Soviets, you can always make one or two turrets per entry to help.

Allied Mission 9 Extract Kosygin

A very easy mission, the AI does not even bother you with sending transports filled with Soviet units, you can easily prepare for the assault. You start on the mediocre sized island, there is plenty of ore to harvest, 4 miners and 2 Ore Refineries will be enough for a whole mission. Have a strong Navy, Destroyers will help you a lot, they can outrange the Tesla Coils with some positioning and they can bombard from a nice distance.

A ground assault wave with 20 Medium Tanks will be enough to break through to the base, cause havoc and eliminate the Attack Dogs that can kill Spies. Once Kosygin is freed from the Soviet Headquarters, better send him to the APC where no random Attack Dog can find him, it will be handy. Oh, and once Soviet HQ is infiltrated, you will get the reinforcements with two Cruisers, but they are merely just for a show, they are not so needed at all. Pack Kosygin to the transport and unload him at your base, once Helicopter lands, the mission is accomplished.

Allied Mission 10 Suspicion

Not a really difficult mission, just at start of it, avoid touching any enemy Harvesters, remember that Soviets will go on a rampage then. This map has also an incredible amount of ore, it’s hard to harvest all ore and gems on the map, you will have no problems with money here. The only problem might be of course with Harvesters and their pathfinding, try to have one Refinery per 2 or 3 harvs, otherwise they will block each other.

Try to lure Soviets units and trap them, your Medium Tanks are ok for shoot, move and shoot again, it helps a lot during this mission. In the northeaster corner of the map, there is a small Soviet outpost with Helipads and Airfields and multiple Power Plants, destroy it. When you assault the main base, Soviets will launch their nuclear warheads, from that moment you have one hour to finish two missions. Damage the Soviet HQ and capture it with an engineer, from that moment Mission 10B Evidence starts inside a Black Horseman complex.

That’s all, have fun!
