This guide will go over some basic loadouts for the game Insurgency: Sandstorm. There are plenty of different possible loadouts, and some of my choices will be based on preference, so you may edit these loadouts as you see fit.

Insurgents (Rifleman)
AKM Loadout
The trusty AKM. Hits hard and it a good all-around weapon. I find that it shines in close to medium range combat.
AKM CQB:
Primary: AKM (3 sp)
– Foregrip (3 sp)
Secondary: Makarov (0 sp)
– Quick Draw Holster (1 sp)
Explosive:
– F1 Frag (2 sp)
– F1 Frag (2 sp)
Utility:
– Light Carrier (1 sp)
– Heavy Armor (3 sp)
– Gas Mask (0 sp)
– Kukri (0 sp)
The AKM has one of the best, if not the best ironsights in the game, it would be a shame to let them go to waste.
Security (Rifleman)
M16A4 Loadout
M16A4:
Primary: M16A4 (3 sp)
– Foregrip (3 sp)
– Red Dot (1 sp)
– Tracer Rounds (0 sp)
Secondary: Tariq (0 sp)
Explosive:
– F1 Frag (2 sp)
– M67 Frag (2 sp)
Utility:
– Light Carrier (1 sp)
– Heavy Armor (3 sp)
– Combat Knife (0 sp)
Personally, I struggle with the M16A4’s ironsights, however it is just my opinion.
