LethalCrisis Mission Requirement Guide

As of this guide’s creation there isn’t a English listing for the missions in-game, so here’s a guide on what they say!

LethalCrisis Mission Requirement Guide

Lethal Crisis has “Missions” which are not just required for progression, (Both game and equipment progression) but they also have different Ranks. The D Rank is always “Clear the Stage” although how exactly you clear the stage depends. (Generally either reach the end of the stage or beat the boss) For this reason, I won’t be listing D Rank missions requirements, although they do relate to the story.

Speaking of story, I will be trying to avoid mentioning any story spoilers throughout this guide, although in a couple of specific cases, it will be impossible. Some mission objectives I will change the meaning of it to prevent spoilers, and hide the actual objective in a Spoiler tag, like so: You are likely gonna die a bunch.

With one special exception, this is NOT a guide on how to clear the missions. Some missions will require you to bring certain weapons or level them up to make clearing them easier/possible. You can level up weapons by earning points, and the points are spread based on your weapon usage. Example if you use your Blade weapon 80% of the time, it will get 80% of the points at the end of the stage. You can equip a Blade, Assault (Hit the jump button twice), Shot, Charge, and two Custom Applications at a time, although one Custom Application lets you equip up to 4 Blades, via multiple directions.

The Mission translations mainly come from UnexpectedGenreShift on Youtube, who did two entire playthough of the game. This link is to their second playthrough although on their first they did all the Missions (Any commentary of that one is lost to time cause of the loss of Youtube’s annotation system)

Speaking of translation, Here is a translation of the Options menu and what if there are extra inputs needed:

Spoiler heavy section!

So you might notice that Stage 7’s S Rank is kinda…unique. There is a reason for that, and it’s the game little special secret. I’m gonna have 2 hints here for what you need to do before I spell it outright, so if you want to do it on your own, best stop here. You can also check UnexpectedGenreShift’s playthrough on how they completed it.

Hint 1: Didn’t Clarino get a letter? Maybe checking it again will help…It’s on the Steam store page and in the game’s opening if you want to check it again. Should have a hint on what to do in a certain location in Stage 7, although you’ll need multiple Blade Applications…

Hint 2: Don’t those symbols on the top and the bottom of the letter look familiar to something? Maybe if in that room-like section of Stage 7 contains the answer to these symbols…although you need two certain Blade Applications to make it though the path. You can backtrack to the start of the rooms to reset the path if you mess up or need to kill the enemies first.

Solution: Firstly, you NEED the B-Commander Custom Application equipped. This lets you equip up to 4 Blades at a time for Neutral, Left/Right, Up, and Down. Ghost Fleuret, which lets you pass though objects including Gold Needles (Which are one hit kills), and Spike, which lets you destroy Gold Blocks, (as well as damage anything else, although this can cause the game to crash if you try on a Gold Needle…) are also required to make it though the path.

Once you reach the 4th room of the stage, you can start with the path mentioned in the letter. Note that, unlike with UnexpectedGenreShift said, you can go back to the start of the section your in after destroying the enemies if you need to. The top of the letter is for the first section, while the bottom is for the second section. (You can go back to the start of the second section if you mess up there, no need to redo the entire thing.) In case you didn’t check the Path needed is:

Right Up Up Left Down Right Right Up Up Left Up Left Down Right Right Up Right Down Right Down Left Down Left Down Right Up Right Down Right

Right Down Left Down Down Right Down Right Up Right Up Right Up Up Left Left Down Left Down Right Right Down Right Up Left Up Up Right Right

After this, I’ll only be spoiling story related content so heads up on that.

Stage 7B
Note: You have to redo Stage 7’s S requirement to access Ranks C~S so keep that in mind!

C Rank:Keep reading… Read Report 1

WARNING: With the S Rank reward from 7B, you can now complete Stage 9’s S Rank. However once you do, not ONLY do you lose access to Stages 1~16 and 7B, but you can no longer Save until you complete the final stage, and if you die, it’s Game Over and your punted back to the Title Screen(!!!). I do not know if pausing and selecting return to intermission is a option here so be very careful.
