NBA 2K20 Best Small Forward Build

Best Small Forward Build

The best choice here is the pie chart with the highest Playmaking and Finishing. So, pick the chart with the most yellow and blue in it. This will somewhat decrease the shooting, but this will be remedied by our use of attributes and badges.

Other NBA 2K20 Guides:

Physical Profile
As a Small Forward, you need to have high agility, strength and vertical. Hence, you should choose the most balanced chart.

Attributes
Keeping badge gain in mind, fill out the essential skills for your Small Forward. As the main role of your character is to get the ball in the net.

Ergo, use a lot of points to get Layup, Dunk, Midrange, Three-point and Post Moves to the max, or close to max. Now, get Post Hook, Post Fade, Pass Accuracy and Pass Accuracy to a high value.

Using your points in this way will grant you the highest achievable number of badges. You can now use your remaining points in whatever way you like. If you can’t decide, just throw them in the Defense category. Never hurts to have some of that.

Height – 6’6”
It’s best to choose an average or somewhat tall height to maintain the agility you need as a small forward.

Weight – 220 lbs
Increasing your weight will reduce your speed, acceleration and vertical jump. This weight seems to be the sweet spot for a small forward as it gives balanced attributes.

Remember, as a small forward, you aim to be very speedy. So, it is never a good idea to increase the weight that much when playing as a small forward.

Wingspan – 83.8”
This wingspan will allow your ball handling and three-point shot to remain high while granting you better-shooting stats and maintaining your dribbling abilities.

Takeover
Our recommended Takeover for this build is Slasher.

Finishing Badges
From Hall of Fame, get Acrobat, Contact Finisher, and Fancy Footwork. These are all no-brainers for a Small Forward.

From Gold, you need to get Fastbreak Finisher and Dropstepper. This will increase your takeover. Then on Backdown Punisher which will allow you to easily get past smaller guards on the pitch.

Finally, get Lob City Finisher so that you could get gold on this. This is entirely up to you.

Shooting Badges
From Gold, you need to get Range Extender. Arguably the best shooting badge in the game. An absolute must for a Small Forward. You should also get Difficult Shots; another super important badge, especially for a Small Forward.

From Silver, get Deadeye and Quick Draw. These will decrease the effect of the defender closing out and also allow you to make a shot at a much quicker pace.

And from Bronze, get Corner Specialist. This will help you take shots when close to the corner.

Playmaking Badges
From Hall of Fame, you need to get Ankle Breaker and Dimer. These will allow you to guards. Then on Downhill which will boost your speed, exactly what we’re looking for.

Then get Quick First Step. This will noticeably increase the speed of your first step. Finally, get Stop & Go – This will allow your player to start and stop his motion rapidly.

From Silver, get Unpluckable which will allow you to keep the ball to yourself for a longer period; granting you more opportunities to shoot. Then get Handles For Days – This will increase your stamina while dribbling.

Finally, from Bronze, you need to get Post Spin Technician which will make your Post Spin technique a lot more efficient.

Defense Badges
You need to get Clamps which will help you stay right in front of the Ball Handler, giving you more opportunities to take and ball and shoot.
