For each ending, the world listed with * is the one you should start from if it is unlocked. Otherwise, start from the one before that you have unlocked.

Ending 6
You can avoid losing stars by quitting the game before respawning.
The star in the fire pit requires you to slide jump to collect without dying.
This is much easier if you join Karmina since you don’t have to deal with any of the goons or side quests, and half of the stars are earned by fighting Merdeka.
