This guide is for people that haven’t found these locations or gnomes yet or are stuck with them.
The golden gnomes
In case you didn’t know there are a total of 54 golden gnomes in garden warfare 2(gw2).
They are scattered around the backyard battleground and some maps in about a 50-50 split.
Once you have them all, you will be rewarded with a lot of coins and some special things.
You will not be able to get all of them unless you completed the majority of both campaigns. (u can get around this by joining a someone’s backyard who already did the singleplayer)
You can turn them in at the bottom of the sewers.(when you have all of them) Just walk down and you will see a big blue building.
golden gnomes location(backyard)
The first fourteen of the gnomes will be here both on plant and zombie side.
For these I highly recomend using mobile caracters like superbrainz or citron.
The first gnome is in the plant base: take a right turn to the garage door and inside a sharp left next to the decline.
For the second gnome just follow the descending stairs and at the bridge, look to the left, there will be a panel of a mushroom. Shoot it and the second gnome pops up on a log.
The next three gnomes will be inside the plant characters rooms, one in each.
The one at the rose is simple, go to the fountain and shoot the mushroom and the gnome pops out of the fountain.
After that comes the corn when at the reward chest just turn right.
The third and last is at citron’s place. Just walk forward.
After these, go out of the garage and out of the door. Keep going through the parking lot and stumble into the soccerfield, the next one is at the top of the score panel.
The next one is close by, just behind the scoreboard and to the left of it there is a dirtroad to a broken fence. Jump down and the gnome is in the pipe.
After this, go along the shore towards the zombie base and enter the sewers through the pipe on the left.
Turn left and the gnome will be on the right side.
Then go back the pipe and enter the crossroads on the right. Keep to the left and look at the bridge across (standing in the middle), take a look to the left and see a platform behind some pipes that hide the gnome.(I find imps to be easiest to get there with a simple doublejump).
Now onto the zombies. There is one at the edge of the base in a broken tombstone.
The next one is behind the teleport leading to zomboss’s lab. Get into the lab and jump to the nearby rock to your left, the gnome is at the top.
The last three are in the zombie character’s room.
The first is in super brainz’s room. The gnome is behind his statue.
The second one is in the imp’s room. It’s in a car to the right.
The last one is at the pirate and he hid it inside of his cabinet next to his bed.
This concludes the ones in the backyard, now onto the multyplayer maps.
golden gnomes location(small maps)
The next 40 are scattered around the different multiplayer maps most have 2 but turf takeover maps have a combined of 24.(that is why they have there separate chapter) I highly suggest that you do these in singleplayer with bots turned off and with speed/gravity modifiers.
z-tech factory:
first on our list is z-tech factory go to the edge of the map opposite of the portals.
Look towards the wastelands and aim to the left and shoot the usual mushroom button and the gnome will glide to you on a baloon.
There is on the right side inside on of the ammo cabinets.
Zen Peak:
For zen peak the two are on opposite side of one another.
The first is at the very edge of the map on the right side.All you have to do is some climbing and you will see it at the top.
The other is behind a waterfall where you will have to jump down. However do be noted there are two waterfalls(you need the one further away from the gnome), also once down there the only way up is through respawn/leap of faith.
Boney island:
Boney island is simple one of it is by the beach in a cravise.
The other you have to go directly opoosite of the previous and at the fence shoot the button.
Time park:
The gnomes are in different areas
First in the ancient egyp by the sewer pipe.
The second is in Rome by the portal consealed by a mushroom button above it.
Frosty Creak:
Just like previously the gnome are on the side, this time by the sawmil.
To the right of the sawmill at the edge of icy platform you can see a bridge with our well known mushroom.After shooting it the gnome will slowly come on a platform.
The next is directly to the previous one on top of the broken down truck.
Sandy sands:
The sunny sandy sand are easy.
One on top of a doorway at the end of the map.
The second is by the riverside.Strand next to the river and aim to nearly the top of the tower nearby, usual mushroom and the gnome will flote down to you just like frosty creak.
Colozeum:
These are the trickiest in from the small ones so be prepared.
The first is on the garden side under the ramp in a little jump in, howerever you cannot grab it unless you are a small caracter like a peashooter or an imp.
The second is on the opposite side at the broken bridge.There is a button under it which you have to press.My solution is to use super brainz jump high up while going backwards and hit it with the super ultra ball after that kick to safety.The gnome is by the bridge under it in a hidden chamber.
Lunar landing:
The last two will be on lunar landing one inside and one outside.
For the one outside go towards the mining equipment and find a broken down drill by the wall, the gnome is on top of it.
The last gnome here is inside go head over there untill you find the lounge over there inside the shelves is a mushroom button, once pressed it will open the door at the botton of the stairs and the route to the gnome.
golden gnomes location(herbal assault)
For these maps there are a lot of them and you have to go through most of the map so be on attacking team to capture the point and move forward.
Zomburbia:
Once the map starts head to the right door and see a big tree, the gnome is by that tree.
Capture the point the next one is at the left side in the big red house. There is a button you have to press behind some fences (same house) and the door will open and you can have the gnome.
Capture the point again and head to the left where there are some broken cages, go inside and the gnome is on the left in some crates.
You can capture the point now but go to the port and there is a sewer pipe inside of is the gnome.
Once done, go up to the stairs and there is a building with it’s insides missing go there and shoot the damaged wood to reveal the gnome.
Than capture the rest of point all the way till the end. Here you want to go to the library through the dropoff and shoot the all to familiar mushroom button to open the door to the last of this map’s gnomes.
moon base Z:
The first one you have to go out and aim back (around the teleporter footprint) and shoot the button. A meteor will come and give us a gnome.
For the next one, capture the point and head inside the building on the left at the very start is a big pile of luggage with a button on the side. Shoot it and our next gnome will be at the top of the luggage.
Capture the point and in the zero gravity area, there will be a section of fence missing. Jump down to a platform for our next gnome.
Continue onward to the next point and down in the mines at the drillm look down and try to look for the entrance on the left side so we can get to our next gnome. Once you got it, jump down shoot the mushroom button and before exiting through the portal, take the gnome from the left.
Capture the point but before leaving, go to the ore furnace and jump on one of the carts to find our one of our beloved gnomes.
And the last one is at the point but go past it onto a pipe on the left, we have to make a pretty big jump. Get your ability ready and jump to the pipe of the left and from there to the gnome.
golden gnomes location (gardens and graveyards)
seeds of time:
Now comes the zombies. I highly recommend to put on the low gravity modifier for this one.
The first one is on the right side inside the gift shop.
Capture the point and the point after that (there are none inside the prehistoric world) and we do almost the same thing as we did at the start but instead of the left we go to the teleporter footprint and take a right to go up and see the gnome next on the shelves.
Capture the point and at asia (azia), head to the left and go through the wooden bridge and shoot the mushroom. The gnome will come to the bridge and you can head to the next one.
In rome there are two. Keep to the left and about half way there is a gift shop on the left with a waterfall. Inside the waterfall is a button that reveals the gnome inside the gift shop.
Now comes of the trickier ones. Just outside of the arena there is a few big trees on the left the gnome is on top of those. I recommend you pick a mobile character like super brainz or peashooter and jump on the burning statue and from there you can either try to jump or use your kick to get there.(If you got the low gravity on you can use an imp to jump there)
Once you capture the point you have to swich to plants, once spawned go to the cannon and run back to the castle. Over there you have to jump to a platform one way or another, but once you reached it, the gnome is at the very end of the castle inside the blacksmiths furnace.
Great white north:
The last map is fairly straight forward.
Capture the first point and head to the right you will see a snowman on a lot, shoot him to get the gnome.
Capture the point and keep to the right, there is tunnel and a slope leading to the point but at the top there is an icewall you can shoot, inside of which is the gnome.
Capture the point and head to the right, at the bridge go below it and shoot the ice to reveal the gnome.
Then go out and jump on the ice platform on the right. There is a button to the left and once shot you get the next gnome.
Capture the point and head to the left there is a platform you can stand on and if you look down you will see a platform which you have to jump on. Proceed down and you will find your gnome.
The last one head to the right and you will see a huge opening between the plant spawn and you find the button, shoot it and now you have to jump on top of the huge ice block to get your last gnome.
The reward and the code
Once all the gnomes have been aquired go down the sewers and find the big blue building.
Go inside and open your three reward chests.
But if you want more, look up and shoot the mushroom.
Enter over the wall and there will be a code requied.
The code is watering pot then flamingo then fence then pot
After these, enjoy the rewards.
snowglobes
There are 50 of these scattered across the backyard.
First you need to talk to the seagull in the sewers to accept the quest.
He is on the right by the zombie entrence.
You will find plenty of snowglobes at the crossroads.
There is one right at the intersection.
One outside of the shooting range and one next to the chest above at the platform.
There is one inside the shooting range. at the very end in the last room on the right.
One towards the gnome building.
Two inside the gnome building (need all 54 gnomes), one at a pile of money, the other is in the room with the code.
Inside the plantbase:
There is one on top of the garage roof. And one inside the garage at the infinity time on the desk.
Moving on there is one under the bench behind the multiplayer portal.
And one is on the bush under some roof on the right.
At the plant heroes room: In Citron’s room it’s right in front on the table, for rose it’s by her side on a chair and for corn aswell by him on a table this time.
Moving out of the base to the houses on the left.
One is at the very left most house.
From there keep to the left untill you find a bush.
Head towards the townhall until you find an orange house,
Now go to the townhall and at the edge of it you find the next. To the left of it is another on the left side of the platform. To the right of it there is another at the stairs, keep going right and you will find one near the flag in a bush.
Then go through the parking lot (behind the townhall) and head towards the zombie houses on the way there will be another.
Head to the park and you will see the next on top of some fence.
Keep to the left and enter the zombie houses and behind the first one will be another.
Go through the street and the house at the very end will have the last one on this side.
Now we will go from the plantbase again but we go to the right and go to the parking lot. Right before the soccerfield by the bush is another. Keep going and we will see another under the scoreboard.
Take to the right and next to a garbage dumb we will see our next one.
Keep to the right follow the road when it starts descending, hop on the pavement on the right and there is another. On the left side of the road where the other comes follow it up top than back to find another inside the roses.
I recommend you switch to superbrainz as the next few are on top of the roofs.
There is 1 on the house on the left and 1 on the house to the right.
Now there is one by the left side if you follow the road that leads towards the burger delivery missions there will be one in front of the garbage dump.
Keep going and keep to the right and there is one at the parking lot.
Go forward and enter the square from the hallways direction. On the right there is a snowglobe. Keep going through it all till you reach the port head to the left and next to the sign is another.
Now simply get on top of the building in front of the sign and you will find another.
Now at the outside of the zombie sewers head to the top of two pipes on the left.
Head to the zombie park and you will see a small crypt at the playground and another globe.
Head towards the zombie base and right before the right most door there isb a gloe on top of the fence.
Inside of the zombie there are two on top of boxes.
There is one next to graveyard ops airship. The second one is at the right tower of the base.
Now go down to zomboss’s lab and take a right one of the last globes is there.
Head to the zombie hero’s rooms.The one in super brainz’s room is at the gift shop. The one in imp’s room is at the left almost next to the portal.
The last two is at captain beadbeard’s room one at his shelves.For the other you have to do the “hitting a snag” mission and go inside the mouth of the shark. Go behind a gold coin on the right side and there is the last.
Now go back to the seagull and done.
chests around the backyard
There are a lot of chests scattered around the backyard. These require various amounts of stars from quests.
There is one inside the zombie base on the left side.
Go outside the base and head to the left, there is one on the wooden platform and there is one next to the house.
The next four are on top of the building in front of the port.
There is one next to the burger delivery house in the alley and one behind the soccerfield.
Now there is one inside the plantbase.
Now we clear the other side of the map.
There are two at the plant houses.
There is one behind the townhall.
The last three (above ground) are at the zombie houses.
There are nine chests inside the sewer system.
One at the entrance.
Six at the crossroad.
There is one by the seagull.
And there is one last towards the gnome building.
After that are some chests at the gnome building. However there is the mysterious 200 star chest from which you get the everlasting crown.(personally not recomended)
hidden rooms (backyard)
This is just a few places that are hidden and have some reward at the end.
shooting range:
Inside the shooting range’s second room you can walk into the room and jump over the fence and enter the room on the right after shooting off the boards.
sewers:
Down at the sewers, next to the fish, you will see an entry, all you have to do is get there. This can be done by jumping to it with imp or spin dashing to it with citron. I recommend using a drone as it can open a door above it to enter safely.
Once inside the pipe, go down and there will be a ramp and a button at the top. Shoot it and you have unlocked this room with the rewards in the other room.
