Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten is one of the main missions available in Red Dead Redemption 2. Dutch and the gang are attacking Bronte’s manor – they want revenge for the ambush in the trolley station.
How to get a gold medal in Revenge is a Dish Best Eaten?
- Search every room in Bronte’s mansion – Check all the rooms on the ground floor. Bronte is upstairs, in the middle room – check the rooms on both sides before you go after Bronte.
- Carry Bronte to the skiff within 1 minute and 30 seconds – You have to hurry. Keep moving forward and shoot enemies fast.
- Get 20 headshots – Be sure that your bullets hit their targets.
- Complete the mission without taking any health items.
Approach Dutch and your gang back at Lagras, where you first met Thomas. Everyone will pile into the boat, and Thomas will drive you to Bronte’s mansion.
When you get out of the boat, press square/a to jump over the wall.
Crouch, and follow John around into the house. The orders are to take a shot when you’ve got one. If you wait too long, your friends will take the first shot instead.
It doesn’t really matter, but catching the guards by surprise and using Dead Eye on them is a pretty good way to stack up headshots.
When the outdoor guards are taken care of, shoot the lock on the door and head inside. There are enemies around just about every corner, so be alert.
Gold Medal Requirements
- Search every room to meet a Gold Medal requirement.
Again, there are men in most of these rooms, ready to shoot, so be cautious. Eat rations and tonics that increase your Dead Eye when needed.
See the screenshot below for where to find Bronte upstairs. This man in the screenshot will block your way.
Take him out, and move forward to find Bronte. A short cutscene plays, and fortunately for you, his gun malfunctions, letting you knock him out with ease. Grab him.
Go downstairs and take a left to follow your friends west out the door.
Don’t worry, you can still shoot with Bronte over your shoulder. Do so, and stay in tight formation with your friends while making it to the boat. A cutscene will prompt when you get close enough to the boat.
After making your way through the swamp for a bit, Dutch will get in a…conversation with Bronte after awakening him. Things go far, far south though, and Dutch ends up drowning Bronte and feeding him to an alligator. Yikes.
You get absolutely nothing from that mission except for what you looted, and there wasn’t much.
