Savagery Unleashed
This chapter of our Red Dead Redemption 2 walkthrough describes the mission Savagery Unleashed. To ensure that the gang can get out of a tight spot safely, Arthur agrees to save the local workers for Hercule and Leon.
How to get the gold medal in Savagery Unleashed?
- Free all the workers in less than 4 seconds – Take advantage of dead-eye and shoot the 3 ropes as soon as the opportunity arises.
- Complete the mission in less than 5 minutes and 40 seconds – Follow Leon’s instructions and try to kill enemies as quickly as possible in the mission finale.
- Execute 8 headshots – A classic additional challenge in RDR2 missions.
To start this mission, head to the ? marked yellow on your map in Guarma. Run straight into the center of the circle. You’ll see a man hanging from a tree.
Then, Arthur will get shot in the neck… with a dart.
The next time you come to, you’ll be getting beat to hell while a man questions you in Spanish.
He mostly just repeats “Who are you?” and “What are you doing here?” over and over again.
Eventually, Arthur manages to say “I’m an American,” and, “I’m Leviticus Cornwall.”
After the mean man starts beating the third prisoner, you can start rocking back and forth in the chair to free yourself from the chair.
Press triangle/y to attack him when it goes slow motion.
Gold Medal Requirement:
- Immediately free the prisoners to get the requirement: Free all the prisoners in 4 seconds.
Free the other prisoners, and follow one of them out. He says to be sneaky, and to not kill anyone. He says the guy who kidnapped you is one of Hercule’s men.
When he says hide, hide. Follow closely, crouched, and you should be okay.
Soon, you’ll come across three prisoners hanging from an arch. Use Dead Eye to quickly shoot their ropes to save them. After doing that, guards will be alerted to your presence, and a fight will begin.
Use the broken ruins and pillars as you take them out.
Gold Medal Requirement:
- You need to get 8 headshots – use Dead Eye to help with this.
After taking them out, you’ll help release the rest of of the prisoners. Baptiste introducers himself, and said he’s going to help arrange a ship for you and your friends to go home.
