Hidden Controls

  1. Flicking UP/DOWN on the Touch pad opens the map.
  2. Holding the Touch pad down for a few seconds goes straight to the inventory screen.
  3. Pressing circle just before you land from a high height and you will roll, negating a lot of the fall damage.
  4. While holding L2 to parry you can switch signs with the D-Pad (left and right).
  5. (This one’s not really a hidden control but it took me a while to figure out, when you are on the horse, you automatically have AXII equipped and holding R2 casts it on the horse, calming it down, so you can fight longer in a fight without the horse getting scared.)
  6. If you hold down square while attacking on horseback, time slows down so that it’s easier to hit your target.
  7. Flicking the right stick right/left while in inventory/menu screens with two “sections” will flick you instant to the other section. For example, Flicking it right will go from your inventory to the shop keeps inventory in store screens.
  8. Hold down L1 and press Square for a Meditation shortcut.
