Town of Salem 2 Role Tier List

Here are The Rankings…(Explanations İncluded)

Ranking TOS2 Roles by Personal Enjoyment

  • Admirer – D tier. Only above F because I can end the game feeling useful if I end up outting an evil through a Toxic Relationship. Too risky to propose.
  • Amne – Goes C tier because they used to be able to remember anything. Now you are forced to be in town, and you are useless N1.
  • Arso – Mid B tier because has one of the most satisfying victories in the game, yet is extremely hard to pull off.
  • Baker – Terrible. Incredibly hard to pull off, and the most underwhelming NA. D tier bc I like saying :Bread
  • Berserker – Mid B tier. Juggernaut in ToS equivalent. Personally I wish I could attack every night.
  • Bodyguard – I hate Bodyguard so much. Very quick role to get lynched, and you end up dying in a 1f1, not enjoyable.
  • Cleric – Another role to get lynched easily. Slightly more fun than Bodyguard bc no death on heal.
  • Conjurer – Goes close to S tier in high A tier. Incredible moments for coven are possible with Conjurer. Amazing asset.
  • Coroner – Easily F tier. even with the new buffs. Typical evil claim.
  • Coven Leader – A tier right next to Conjurer. You feel very powerful as CL. Possibly one of the deadliest roles in the game early on.
  • Crusader – Id rather play Crusader than any other TP. A tier.
  • Cursed Soul – Low C tier because I haven’t played enough to form an opinion. However, I like the RNG aspect it adds.
  • Death – Most memorable moments come from not being found out Day 6 when many ppl are alive as Death. Incredibly satisfying, so S tier.
  • Deputy – S tier. Say all you want about RNG shooting but shooting an evil and swaying the game in Town’s favor is a tradeoff im happy to make for being a potato the rest of the game (but a confirmed potato, now you can lead town).
  • Doomsayer – A tier. I am biased because I recently got a N1 win.
  • Dreamweaver and Enchanter – both go same spot in C tier because they are easily outperformed and make for lackluster gameplay.
  • Executioner – A tier because its so easy to win and fun. Seer fake claim moment.
  • Famine – D tier, if you manage to get there. Worst horsemen in the game.
  • Hex Master – B tier. Considered A tier because of the feeling of landing a Hex Bomb in game.
  • Illusionist and Medusa – Worst coven roles ever. Low C tier.
  • Investigator – Low B tier, can find killers which makes for satisfying lynches.
  • Jailor – Low A tier. I managed to execute 3 covens as a jailor before. However, the sheer stress of being the most powerful town role gets to me and that’s why Its not in S tier.
  • Jester – S tier. I use a new strategy every time and when it works, I leave my computer and do something more worthwhile than play this game.
  • Jinx – B tier. Better than Hex Master only slightly. But fails when you get noticed by more than one visitors.
  • Lookout – High B tier. Balanced, astral, allows you to find evils and win games.
  • Mayor – A tier. I rock Mayor scrolls so I can relax and watch as Town votes me up, then I reveal, than TPs kill each other staying on me, then Lookout finds the evils. EZ.
  • Monarch – Step below Mayor, but the added defense allows you to be more aggressive. Not a fan of knighting N1!!!
  • Necro – Retri’s coven cousin. Not B tier because often times you cant do much. C tier. U are the last coven often.
  • Pestilence – C tier. Good luck not getting outted by coven/NK.
  • Pirate – Personal favorite role. Can get frustrating but I love being Yellow #Vigilante. Highest A tier.
  • Plaguebearer – C tier. If you become Pestilence fast enough, I consider bumping it up to B TIER.
  • Poisoner – Tavern Keepers’s cousin. Can fake claim Tav easily but it’s not fun to role-block townies, or die to SK til you have book. C tier.
  • Potion Master – Step down from Witch in A tier. Combined with a Ritualist and you have the deadliest combo in the game.
  • Prosecutor – Im gonna be honest, I don’t like Prosecutor. Why? Ending the day when you. .would rather just shoot someone as Dep and then lynch another is much more satisfying. High C tier.
  • Psychic – You end up staying alive a lot, so B tier.
  • Retri- Corpses don’t rot. Nuff said, B tier.
  • Ritualist – A tier. Part of one of the deadliest combos in the game. Insanely fun to kill yet another person along with the book-holder.
  • Seer – High B tier. Its stressful to be one of the most powerful town roles in the game. Its worse when people dont trust you.
  • SK – Low B tier. Rampage on 2 kills really bumps this guy up to a murdering machine.
  • Sheriff – Classic sheriff. High C tier. Finds too many Jesters as sus these days.
  • Shroud – I find its incredibly hard to convince town you are not Shroud. I fake claim Spy a lot. BUT when it works, it satisfying AF.
  • SC – D1 Solo SC ( A TIER ).
  • Spy – Ok the bug feature I feel is a step down from seeing what every evils visited. Still useful though, and ez to be confirmed/lead town B tier.
  • Tav Keep – AKA Drunk Lad. Not a fan of not being able to RB someone continually. Low C tier.
  • Tracker – I’d rather be Werewolf and try to win for myself than be Tracker and try to win for town. Mid B tier.
  • Trapper – There has only been a teaspoonful of games where I liked Trapper. It is satisfying though when you do kill an evil. However he is such a slow player, so low D tier.
  • Trickster – I LOVE DYING IN 1 FOR 1S! Only low B tier because you can easily pair up with TP, or narrow down evils quickly.
  • Vampire – NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS! S tier.
  • Veteran – Allows you to be the most creative in your approach to the game. S tier.
  • Vigilante – Would be S tier if you could shoot N1. Just sayin.
  • Voodoo Dude – Low B tier. Silence people and get them up its fun.
  • War – Recently got buffed, better than Werewolf tho.
  • Werewolf – B tier. Fake Tracker buff lets you enjoy the game more.
  • Wildling – A tier because you end up surviving long if you confirm yourself faking LO/Tracker.
  • Witch – A tier, step above PM due to controlling abilities.
