Have a 90% winrate on Legend with these bot builds. The good stuff.

Legendary Bots

This guide will show you what kind of gear I use on my bots, while playing Legend. I win almost all the time on Legend. If I lose, it’s usually the result of bad AI.

Boon of Shallya

You should be using Boon of Shallya on your bots. We are using Mercenary Kruber as a cornerstone bot. Your bots will get healed about 33 hp every 49 seconds, with max Cooldown Reduction on Merc Kruber. That’s the bonus on top of all the temp hp they gain themselves and from supplies.

Your bots will be at full health most of the time, if you are doing this. The only way they die is if they take a high amount of damage in a short time frame. Your job is to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Example: In my video, there is a time where two of my bots die. That is because I was rushing into an open area and not funneling the hordes. This then separates the bots a bit, all fending for themselves, as they fight the spreading horde. Then they take a large amount of damage when their guard breaks.

The proper thing to do would be to wait against a wall and funnel the horde to you. This keeps your bots fighting on one front, where it’s very easy to keep them alive.

Markus Kruber

Merc Kruber: 

You should be using this bot. This is the best class for Kruber bot. He heals everyone constantly, it’s just amazing.

1. 30% more healing. You’ll see why.

2. Damage reduction, because bots always can use more HP.

3. 25% reduced damage while paced strikes is active. Something to help Kruber be alive longer, because he’s probably the most important bot.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough.

5. 30% CDR. 25 HP with 60% bonus healing, every 49 seconds or so. It’s very effective at keeping everyone alive.

Weapon: Mace

A great all-rounder. High stamina, far dodge, fast, and swings widely.

Ranged: Rifle

Bots don’t shoot very much, but they can snipe. So give them the best sniper weapon, the rifle.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

30% increased healing to improve the heal on his ult.

Trinket: 10% Cooldown Reduction
Cooldown reduction so he can heal more often.

Huntsman Kruber:
Don’t.

Footman Kruber:
Don’t. He’s not bad, but Merc is irreplaceable.

Bardin Goreksson

Ranger Veteran:

The Ranger provides infinite ammo, bombs, 10% heal dupe, and can full heal himself every time he ults.

1. 30% healing increase. You’ll see why soon.

2. 50% less damage while disabled. Just something to keep him alive.

3. I personally enjoy bombs, because I’m melee usually. Ranged players might want the 30% ammo drop increase.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough.

5. The big one. Take the 50 THP gain on ult. With 60% healing increase, this will give him 85 healing every time he ults. It’s pretty awesome.

Weapon: Warpick

Wide sweeps and a very strong charge attack. Seems to have the best of both worlds.

Range: Grudgeraker, Crossbow, Rifle

Ranger has increased range, so the Grudgeraker is a decent sniper. Or you could give him the conventional snipers.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

For the full heal on ult.

Trinket: 10% Cooldown Reduction

Iron Breaker:

The tankiest bot. He’s mostly there to not die. He sometimes uses his taunt too, which is pretty cool.

1. Increase HP.

2. Gain Stamina on charge hit. With Warpick, bot uses charged attacks on various enemies.

3. Gromril cooldown reduced to 13 seconds. 50% stamina regen could be good too.

4. Health on stagger.

5. Ult lasts for 15 seconds. Don’t take the boss taunt. It will get him eaten by a chaos spawn.

Weapon: Warpick

Wide sweeps and a very strong charge attack. Seems to have the best of both worlds.

Ranged: Crossbow or Handgun

Bots don’t shoot often, but they do snipe sometimes. Give them a sniper rifle.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

Stacks with Kruber’s ult. IB has a high hp pool, so increased healing is good for him.

Slayer:

The bot that is fairly tanky and has the fastest attack speed. He’s pretty good, if you want someone to kill Chaos Warriors quickly.

1. Increase HP.

2. 50% damage reduction.

3. More damage reduction.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough.

5. Slayer does make use of his jump, so having him stagger groups more effectively is good.

*Slayer bot will never change weapons, so his second slot is not important.

Weapon: Warpick

Wide sweeps and a very strong charge attack. Seems to have the best of both worlds. This bot attacks very quickly, so he makes use of this weapon especially well.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

Stacks with Kruber’s ult.

Trinket: 30% Respawn Speed

This guy has no safety mechanisms, so he’s most likely to die.

Kerillian

Waystalker:

The only one you should take. She’s like Ranger Bardin, where she can heal herself frequently.

1. 30% increase stamin regen. Bots block a lot, remember.

2. Increased headshot damage.

3. Team-shared Regen. While everyone is running on THP, they can be gaining their green hp back.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough.

5. Like Ranger, pick 50 THP when using ult. With Boon of Shallya, this grants 67 hp every use. It’s very good for keeping her high hp.

Weapon: 2h Sword

Use whatever, I just like 2h Sword.

Ranged: Longbow

Bots don’t shoot often, but they do snipe things sometimes. So give them the sniper rifle of bows.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

Stacks with Merc’s ult and her own heal on ult.

Trinket: 10% Cooldown Reduction

For the heal on ult.

Handmaiden:

Don’t.

Shade:

Don’t.

Victor Saltzpyre

Witch Hunter Captain:

His purpose is to grant the team extra THP from every elite/special kill. He’s also pretty good at blocking, since he has infinite block from the front. Remember, that bot AI blocks a lot. Also any pinged enemy takes 20% increased damage.

1. Extra Stamina.

2. 50% reduced damage when disabled. Don’t want a gutter runner killing him.

3. 3 THP for the team on elite/special kill. With Boon this might become 4. Elites are common on Legend, so this actually gives a steady stream of THP.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough. THP on Crit works alright for Saltz, too, since he has high crit. bonuses.

5. 30% Cooldown Reduction.

Weapon: Flail

This weapon is tactically very good. He’ll beat down any shield vermin with ease. Bots don’t always know how to kill shield vermin.

Ranged: Crossbow

Bots don’t know how to use the volleybow. Give him the crossbow so that he can occasionally snipe specials.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

Grants bonus THP from his passives.

Trinket: 10% Cooldown Reduction

Why not?

Bounty Hunter

Don’t.

Zealot

Very tanky, and able to go invulnerable. With a flail he also is very effective at clearing elites. A solid pick for Saltz Bot.

1. 30% increased stamina regen. Bots block a lot, remember.

2. 50% damage reduction.

3. Increased stamina with health loss. For all the blocking.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough.

5. Heal 2 THP every hit while ult is active.

Weapon: Flail

This weapon is tactically very good. He’ll beat down any shield vermin with ease. Bots don’t always know how to kill shield vermin.

Ranged: Crossbow

Bots don’t know how to use the volleybow. Give him the crossbow so that he can occasionally snipe specials.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

Stacks with Merc Kruber’s ult.

Sienna Fuegonasus

Burning Wizard:

Untested.

Pyromancer:

Untested. In theory, treat her like Ranger and Waystalker, since she heals on ult.

Unchained:

She’s just really tanky, and that’s what a bot needs. Prioritize helping her first, so she doesn’t blow up.

1. 20% more HP. 25% more Overcharge is good, if she is blowing up a lot.

2. Clear grey status on boss kill. It’s a nice one to have, if she blows up during a boss.

3. Reduce Overcharge buildup by 15%. I think this helps prevent her blowing up.

4. I feel like the ‘multiple hit’ temp hp is most useful on bots, so far. I might be wrong, but it’s working well enough.

5. 30% Cooldown Reduction. So she doesn’t blow up, as easily.

Weapon: Mace

You can probably use whatever you want, I just use the mace on her.

Ranged: Fireball Staff

It seems like the bot can use a fireball staff reasonably well. Stay away from Conflag, the bot does weird stuff with it.

Necklace: Boon of Shallya

Synergizes with Merc Kruber’s ult.

Trinket: 10% Cooldown Reduction

So she blows up less often.

Important Stuff!

There are some really bad things when it comes to bot play. Learn well these things, or they can wipe you.

1. Gunners. Gunners will break the AI and make them do nothing. Kill them ASAP.

2. Runaway bots. Sometimes bots chase specials far away. Always make sure they are behind you, and if they aren’t, go follow them.

3. Stuck on ledges. This can be very bad. I usually try to move forward so that they teleport to me.
