Workplace Fantasy: Lilith Walkthrough

Lilith Quest is a short quest with a long narrative. It can be tricky to figure out what to do, as the story and the instructions are presented together in a long format—unlike other quests. You don’t need to read the entire story to progress. Simply look for the core quest steps.

Puzzles and their solutions are detailed separately in the puzzle section, so don’t worry about finding puzzle clues within the narrative. The story mainly serves to enhance the presentation of the guide and is about as long as a short story. It’s ideal for players who want to enjoy Lilith’s backstory.

Lilith Quest Overview

You can find Lilith inside the Ancient Cave, but only after speaking with the uncle on the mountain, who explains how to gain access to it.

To enter the Ancient Cave, you must first obtain the Demon Blade Kiritaachi. Once inside, talk to Lilith to begin her quest.

How to Get the Demon Blade Kiritaachi (Key Quest Item)

• Did you start with Lilith’s quest or Meizhen’s quest? Both quests require the same sword.
• The Demon Blade Kiritaachi is embedded in a stone at the top-left corner of the map. The method for retrieving it is explained in the Meizhen Quest.
• If you’re doing Lilith’s quest first and you reach the point where you need to pull out the Kiritaachi, refer to the Meizhen quest guide for the sword retrieval steps.
• Likewise, if you’re doing Meizhen’s quest first, follow the same instructions when it comes to the sword.

How to Open the Ancient Cave

Use the Demon Blade Kiritaachi together with the Sword Song: “I Am the Storm” to shatter the stone seal blocking the Ancient Cave entrance.

Quest Conditions – Step 1

• Can be done at any time.
• Your physical strength must be ≥ 10.
• Affection must be ≥ 0.
• You must have the Demon Blade Kiritaachi.
• Use the Sword Song: “I Am the Storm” to destroy the stone seal at the Ancient Cave entrance. Once broken, enter the cave and proceed to the end. A cutscene will trigger.

Inside the Ancient Cave, the protagonist is stunned by what they discover and begins to speak aloud.

• You must solve a fire-lighting puzzle to release Lilith, who is bound in chains.
• Light the fires in the correct order based on a clue on the left wall.
• Once solved, interact with the button at the center of the ceremonial area to activate the mechanism that releases the chains.
• The protagonist approaches a statue. Due to carelessness, they accidentally touch it, causing it to crack and break, revealing Lilith, who had been sealed in stone for a long time.
• Now free, Lilith stands before the protagonist. Startled, the protagonist asks who she is.
• Lilith examines the protagonist from head to toe. Just as the protagonist begins to panic, she commands silence and starts explaining how she was sealed here long ago by a witch.
• As she speaks, the protagonist (still dazed) touches the statue from top to bottom. Lilith notices and scolds: “What are you doing?”
• The protagonist blurts out, “A succubus?! For real?!”
• Lilith then talks about her powers, and once finished, she suddenly pushes the protagonist down and climbs on top of them. She says she hasn’t “set up” anyone in a long time (likely innuendo), introduces herself, and teleports away.
• The protagonist, still in shock, reflects: If I want to meet Lilith again, I should go to the table in the top-left corner—she’ll be there waiting.

Fire-Lighting Puzzle

To complete the fire-lighting puzzle, follow the clue displayed on the wall to your left as you enter the ceremony area. The sequence follows a left-to-right order.

Before You Begin:

• Make sure to collect the fire pot located in front of the entrance to the ceremony area. You’ll need it to light the fires.
• If you light the wrong fire, go to the button in the center of the ceremony area and press E to reset all fires.
• Tip: Be cautious — lighting the wrong fire means starting over from the beginning.

Fire Lighting Order (Based on the Symbols on the Wall)

Each symbol in the picture corresponds to a specific fire location on the ground. Here’s the correct order to light them, from left to right based on the wall clue:

1. Eye – Top-left area, in the middle of the ceremonial ground.
2. U-shaped symbol – Bottom-right, under the statue in the middle of the ceremonial ground.
3. Bow symbol – Bottom-left, near the puzzle clue.
4. Exclamation mark inside a square – Bottom-right, near the large crack in the wall.
5. Walking person symbol – Bottom-left, under the statue in the middle of the ceremonial ground.

Quest Conditions – Step 2

• Can be triggered at any time
• Wait 2 days after completing Lilith Event 1
• Intelligence stat must be ≥ 10
• Affection with Lilith must be ≥ 20
• Go back to your house (or Genevieve’s house), enter your bedroom, and sleep until the next day.
• A cutscene plays: Lilith is in the ancient cave talking to herself. After two days of searching, she finally finds the Devil’s Codex. She mocks the witch for trying to hide it, believing the safest place is often the most dangerous. Just as she’s about to retrieve it, a magical security system triggers.
• Despite Lilith’s speed, she is caught in the sealing magic protecting the Devil’s Codex. She tries multiple ways to break free but fails, and ultimately decides to ask the protagonist for help.
• The scene cuts to the protagonist peacefully asleep in bed. Suddenly, a voice appears in their head. Confused, they ask who’s speaking, and Lilith replies telepathically, telling them to shut up and come to the ancient cave immediately — she needs help.
• Travel to the ancient cave following Lilith’s telepathic call. Upon arrival at the ceremonial ground, a cutscene plays. The protagonist looks for Lilith and shouts her name. Lilith responds, telling them to stop shouting and directs them to her location behind the ritual platform.
• Upon finding her, the protagonist sees only half of Lilith’s body sticking out of a magical seal, and laughs at her situation. Annoyed but helpless, Lilith pleads for assistance. The protagonist teases her about her predicament despite her being a supposedly “dignified succubus.”
• Lilith explains that she just wanted to retrieve her legendary weapon, but the witch had placed a sealing trap here. She instructs the protagonist to find a nearby crystal and use it on the adjacent table to help release her.
• After retrieving the crystal, return to Lilith. The protagonist jokes about how exhausting the task was and makes a light-hearted comment, prompting Lilith to sarcastically respond and urge them to hurry. She warns that if she escapes without help, she might have her own plans for the protagonist.
• Before helping, the protagonist demands a deal from Lilith. She is reluctant but eventually agrees to three conditions in exchange for being freed. Once she consents, the magic seal fades.
• Lilith gives the protagonist a sharp look, tells them to get out of the cave, and leaves with a final warning: “This debt will be repaid.”

Quest Conditions – Step 3

• Can be started anytime
• Wait 3 in-game days after completing Lilith Event 2
• Affection ≥ 40
• Enter the Ancient Cave again. A cutscene plays where the protagonist assumes Lilith must have already left. This becomes an opportunity to investigate the Devil’s Codex.
• Solve the Succubus Emblem Puzzle by sliding the stone image to match the Succubus symbol on the wall.
• Once solved, the protagonist obtains the Devil’s Codex. As knowledge floods into their mind, they say, “My head hurts—it’s going to explode! This is the Demon Summoning Book!”
• Protagonist: Hehehe… With this book, my little succubus will be at my fingertips.
• Go to the ceremonial platform and use the Devil’s Codex to summon Lilith.
• The protagonist calls out: Lilith! Where are you? Even if you’re hiding, you can’t escape—I have this book! Come out, Succubus!
• Lilith appears, seemingly asleep.
• The protagonist tries to wake her. Lilith stirs and asks, “Who is that?” and is surprised.
• Protagonist: Why not me? Are you avoiding me?
• Lilith, thinking: Holy sh—! How did I get here? I thought this human wouldn’t last and hid until he died…
• Protagonist: Trying to run from me, huh? With this book, you can’t escape anywhere! Time to fulfill your third promise!
• Lilith: No, I don’t want that one…
• Unfortunately, the protagonist activates puppet mode using the Codex.
• Lilith freezes, puppet-like.
• Protagonist: Hey hey hey… You didn’t cooperate, so don’t blame me…

• Before the protagonist could issue a command, Lilith appeared before him in a trance-like state. The summoning had clearly affected her, leaving her momentarily disoriented.
• As Lilith began to regain awareness, she recognized the protagonist and reacted with a mix of surprise and frustration. She scolded him for using the puppet command from the Devil’s Codex, warning him not to rely on such forceful methods again.
• Despite the tension, the protagonist teased her in a lighthearted way, brushing off her warnings. Lilith, visibly flustered, responded in a tsundere tone, “Next time, don’t use puppet commands… or I won’t like you.”
• The protagonist laughed it off, saying, “Ah~ I don’t listen to what you think.”
• Exhausted, Lilith sighed and said, “Stop! I understand! Now get out. I want to rest.” With that, she vanished once more.

Note: You can’t steal Devil’s Codex from the storage room first because the storage room’s security system is blocked. (But you have to press Devil’s Codex first. The puzzle table with the Succubus symbol scrolls to activate it.)

Puzzle: Succubus Emblem Scroll

• Interact with the Succubus Emblem Puzzle Table left of the Devil’s Codex.
• Press E to start the puzzle or wait for auto-start.
• You have 5 minutes to rotate/slide the image into the correct succubus shape.
• If time runs out, you can press the Skip button on the bottom right.
• Warning: Leaving the puzzle screen cancels progress.

Puzzle Notes:

• You can solve it manually or wait the 5 minutes.
• If you’re confident, try solving it yourself.
• If not, you can idle for 5 minutes and skip it later.
• (Tip: Do not exit the puzzle interface while waiting, or it will reset the timer.)

PS: The exact solution to the slide puzzle depends on individual skill. There’s no universal method—it requires logic and sometimes luck. (Apparently, the Chinese players are especially good at these, and many guides follow their method.)
