Workplace Fantasy: Mining Guide

The mining location is on the mountain next to the ancient cave on the left.

You cannot enter the mines until you have the required mining equipment specified in the related quest.

First, talk to the miner standing next to the mine. He will tell you what tools you need and where to buy them.

Where to Buy Equipment

Iron Shovel and Iron Pickaxe can be purchased from the Mining Equipment Shop in front of the school, next to the coffee shop.

Once you have both tools, return to the mine and use the Iron Pickaxe to break the rocks blocking the entrance. This will grant you access to the mine.

Recommended Preparations

Besides the shovel and pickaxe (don’t forget backups), you’ll need at least 10 food items to sustain your energy while mining.

Best Food for Mining

Braised Pork Knuckle Rice – Available at the Supermarket
Effect: Restores 30 stamina and prevents energy loss for 1 minute.

Before eating Braised Pork Knuckle Rice
You will consume stamina with every dig.

After eating Braised Pork Knuckle Rice
You won’t lose stamina while mining or digging until the buff expires.

After mining or when your stamina is nearly depleted, don’t go home yet. Head to the left side of the upper path and collect a Rainbow Cherry before midnight.

• Why it matters: Rainbow Cherries are essential for the final upgrade of your mining tools. They make mining significantly easier.

Ultimate Mining Tools

• Rainbow Shovel: Uses 1 stamina to mine 9 tiles at once.
• Diamond Pickaxe: Uses 1 stamina to break any ore in a single hit, including Crystal Ore and Ore Diamond.

These tools are essential for efficient and high-level mining.

How to Find Treasure in the Mines

• Mine until you reach floor 5.
• Purchase a Metal Detector from the Black Market (used for treasure hunting).
• Look for a blue cat on the right side — it indicates treasure exists on that floor.

Using the Metal Detector

• Soft sound: You are far from the treasure.
• Increasing volume: You are getting closer.
• Very loud sound: Dig in that spot — you’ll find the treasure immediately.
