A complete beginner’s guide to Everlusting Life: strategy tips, resources, and everything you need to know.
Everlusting Life: Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Welcome to the captivating world of Everlusting Life, where strategy and charm intertwine. While the game may seem simple at first, a deeper tactical layer lies beneath. This guide will help you build a solid foundation for victory, manage your resources wisely, and maximize your potential from the very start.
Progression and the Core
The main goal in Everlusting Life is to consistently finish in the top 3. The most effective way to achieve this is by leveling up your characters.
- Leveling Up: You can increase character levels by using Summons and by claiming Win Bonuses or Glory Lazurites (blue crystals) after battles.
- Red Crystals: Earn these primarily from “Epic Quests.” Use them to perform Summons, buy gold, or open blue crystals when you don’t place high enough for a free reward.
- Grinding: If you hit a wall, let the AI play for you in the background while you focus on daily and weekly quests. This is an efficient way to passively gain resources and level up characters from the wheel, even if you lose matches. Be aware that the AI may make poor decisions, so it’s a trade-off.
- Power Essence: This is a crucial resource for breakthroughs. You’ll mainly get it from daily and weekly quests. Don’t spend it on minor level-ups; save it for a significant power boost.
- Collection & Harem: The Collection screen is where you level up characters and their relationships, which gives them stat boosts. The Harem is for art and conversation and does not provide any gameplay benefits.
Battle Strategy
Winning matches in Everlusting Life boils down to two key principles: deploying your strongest characters and creating powerful synergies.
- Early Game Priority (Rounds 1-2): Focus on deploying your characters with the highest “Might” score. This usually means putting your highest rarity and highest-level units on the field. Don’t worry about synergies yet.
- Round 1: Buy your highest Might character(s).
- Round 2: Based on the shop, either level up and buy another strong character or reroll to try to get a duplicate of your initial units to level them up.
- Selling Characters: If you have a bad start with no good characters, remember you can sell them back for their full cost in the next round. This is a great way to reset and adjust your strategy.
- Common Rarity: Don’t underestimate common characters. At ranks like Wasp-1, having multiple Common characters leveled above 10 can be a powerful strategy.
- Synergy over Raw Power: A well-balanced team with strong synergy can easily defeat a team with a higher overall power score. A good team should always have three core elements: a Defender (tank), a Main Damage Dealer, and a Healer. For example, a character like Mary can be a game-changer with her healing abilities.
- Advanced Synergies: Characters with the “Solar Circle” effect, when four of them are on the field, can instantly kill enemies who drop below 30% health. Pay attention to these powerful interactions.
Resource Management
Smart resource management is the key to sustained success. This includes not only your out-of-battle resources but also the gold you earn during each match.
- Saving Your Summons: It may sound counterintuitive, but don’t blindly use your Summons. Save them for special in-game events. When an event starts, you can use your accumulated Summons to complete event tasks and get maximum rewards.
- Gold in Battle: Gold is a crucial resource during a match. The game rewards you for saving gold. For every 10 gold you have saved, you’ll earn a bonus coin in the next round. This bonus increases for every additional 10 gold you save.
- Balancing Spending and Saving:
- If you’re already winning, it might be smart to skip a round of buying characters to focus on accumulating gold for a bigger boost later.
- If you can’t reach the 10-gold threshold, it’s better to spend it on buying new characters, as you can always sell them back.
- After reaching rounds 5 or 6, it’s best to settle on a core team of 5-6 characters and avoid expanding, as it can spread your resources too thin.
- Locking and Rerolling: If you see a valuable character but can’t afford them, you can lock them in the shop. This allows you to sell other characters without losing your potential purchase. Remember that the chance of getting rarer characters, like Legendaries, increases with each roll, so sometimes it’s better to save your gold for a few decisive rerolls rather than making many small purchases.
By following these tips, you’ll be well-equipped to navigate the challenges of Everlusting Life and build a powerful, balanced team for victory. Good luck!
