Atlas Whale Hunting Guide
How to kill the whales easily, and how to avoid doing 0 damage to them.
The Whales spawn in the top or bottom 3 Regions of the map, need fur armour because it’s also very cold.
2-4 Ballista Turrets are required to kill the whale, cannons are weak against it. Build a platform or 2 for the ballistas on the back of your boat. I recommend using a Brigantine and not a Galleon, so u can dodge/avoid the mass amount of ghost ships.
Let the whale get close to your ship, pretty close anyway, if it’s too far away then u will deal 0 damage with almost all ballistas for some reason, usually if it’s possible to target it with right click, then u can damage it.
That’s pretty much it, if they are too far away u do no damage, and they die extremely fast to ballistas.
Also expect to see a lot of SoDs and a lot of Fog which makes it hard. Other than that, the whale kill is very easy.
What they drop:
Roughly 2,000 Gold per kill, lots of Leather, Animal Meat, Prime Meat, and Blubber (Oil)
