Payday 2 | 3 Non-DLC Death Sentence Builds

Payday 2 | 3 Non-DLC Death Sentence Builds – title is pretty self-explanatory.

Payday 2 | 3 Non-DLC Death Sentence Builds

Well, let’s start with the fact that the game is almost dead. there were some severe mistakes overkill did recently, so the majority of players that used to basically live in this game are already out of this boat. i won’t say i’m among them – actually no, i have my own reasons to leave this game, starting from my pc getting unable to load the game as properly as it did awhile ago, and ending with getting bored by the core gameplay mechanics.

So i decided to make myself a kind of a challenge – to turn off all the DLCs i have and see if it’s even possible to conqueror Death Sentence difficulty. and, you know, it is quite possible! especially comparing with, for example, 2015, when we didn’t have that much free content as we have right now. i’ve created three builds that tend to give various gameplay mechanics and are not actally bad for the builds recreated without the majority of weapons, mods or perk decks. So let’s check ’em out!

Leech AMR-16 + Compact 40mm GL

explanation

i would say this build is a classic one that utilizes very powerful things available without DLCs. amr-16 does literally a massacre with everything that stands in front of you, so there will be no problem using this gun against dozers or more dangerous opponents. but since it is a T3 assault rifle, it has some problems with pick-up rate, so sometimes it will be necessary to switch for grenade launcher and kill hordes with grenade blasts. FAKs for your safety when doing the objectives, and an extra medic bag for your teammates that can’t make it til’ the end of heist.

Hacker Akimbo Heather SMG + North Star Sniper Rifle

explanation

this one is my favourite. yeah, this build doesn’t have any jokers, so there’s also no passive hp regen, but in my opinion, hacker doesn’t really need hostage taker, especially if the build has sneaky bastard. but my build doesn’t, so it’s a bit risky, but still very versatile build, that is good in what it should do – killing. north star is our primary here, but since there is not so much ammo in the backup, we will occassionally use our akimbo smgs, that can do massacre not worse than our primary, thanks to armor penetration and crits.

You can take pretty much everything instead of heathers, but these are my favourites since the reload time is less than other akimbo smgs have.

Copycat-Kingpin KSP 58 LMG + Krinkov SMG

explanation

oh boy, that’s the most interesting part.

i haven’t seen anybody using copycat with kingpin card and it’s a strange thing, because it IS very useful despite not having invincibility. basically, you have an insane amount of resist instead of invincibility, but you can achieve a condition near invincibility with die hard basic and ICTV, and, you know, you still have an ability to heal when getting shot with armor. and, what is more surprising, you don’t trigger everyone and everything on the map, so you will not instantly die.

but yeah, lack of invincibility means that you are also vulnerable to EVERYBODY’S SHOT, not only the cops with shotguns and green dozers. BUT having three cards of hp boost, one card of armor boost and a convert that adds 69 hp, you’ll get two-shot ICTV with decent hp pool and an ability to heal while you have an armor. it’s a really interesting concept of gameplay, so i recommend you to give it a shot at least once – you will not regret it.

That’s all, folks!

What hell of a ride it was. i mean the whole payday 2 adventure thing. For me it all started in 2015, when i got a GOTY-version of the game as a gift. who could have thought that my love of this game will last till now…

This guide is kind of a farewell not only to the game, but to the community as well. i want to say thanks to all the players with whom i had an honor to play, to study core gameplay-mechanics and just chill together. quitting the game now i realize that i’m leaving one not so minor, but so special part of my life.So yeah, thank you all, no matter who you are, for just being here and ressurrecting the game from the dead, returning me back to 2015 and making me feel that the game matters once again!

Looking forward for Payday 3? -No.
