Lords of the Fallen Holy Bulwark Otto Walkthrough Guide
Because of his two-handed heavy weapon, Holy Bulwark Otto’s movement and attacks are fairly slow. He favors an overhead slam and will perform this quite often, lifting his weapon high above his head and slamming it down into the ground. He needs a brief moment to recover before he performs his next attack, creating ample opportunity for you to get a few hits in.
In addition to this move, he will side-swing his heavy weapon. These attacks can be easily dodged, but are also good practice for block/parry moves to get a good feel of timing. If he manages to hit you with his weapon, you’ll have bleed damage applied. This bleed bar can be seen above your health bar and will increase with each hit. If it reaches a full bar, you will begin to bleed out, and your health bar will continue to drain until you recover.
At times, Holy Bulwark Otto will spin his mace around his head before slamming it down, with a slight lunge that propels him forward. Be sure to dodge out of the way of these or attempt to block them, but run at him as soon as he’s finished with the move, as it will take him slightly longer to pull his weapon from the ground, leaving you with a chance to stagger him.
One move to watch out for that can quickly end the fight is when he lifts up his left hand and lunges towards you. If he catches you, he’ll grab you by the throat and use his mace to slam it into your body, depleting your health bar significantly and sending you flying.
When you’ve defeated Holy Bulwark Otto, a cutscene will begin and The Lightreaper will descend, taking over from Holy Bulwark Otto in the fight.
Fighting The Lightreaper
The Lightreaper can be fought and beaten in this fight, but it’s incredibly difficult at such a low level. The intention is to die to The Lightreaper here, but for experienced players, you might be able to take him down.
