Kukajin of the Envenomed can be started by going to Forsaken Fen and completing the Save the Petrified Woman and then speaking to Kukajin once she relocates to Skyrest Bridge.
As a companion, Kukajin will give you Kukajin Invoice, which is the payment she expects to receive each time she helps you out in fighting Bosses.
Nearest Vestige: Vestige of Valade in Forsaken Fen and Vestige of Ethryg in Skyrest Bridge.
Objectives: Fulfill your duties and pay the Kukajin Invoice.
To complete this quest, summon Kukajin to assist you in the following boss fights and pay her the following amounts:
- The Hushed Saint – 3,000 Vigor
- Harrower Dervla, the Pledged Knight – 7,000 Vigor
- The Hollow Crow – 6,000 Vigor
- Reinhold the Immured – 7,500 Vigor
- Judge Cleric, the Radiant Sentinel – 8,500 Vigor
- Lightreaper – 8,500 Vigor
- The Sundered Monarch – 9,000 Vigor
NOTE: Missing a payment to Kukajin will cause this quest to fail.
Kukajin of the Envenomed (Petrified Woman) Walkthrough
From the Vestige of Vallade, head to your right through a cave corridor. If this is the first time you explore this area, there’ll be a closed door at the end that you can open from the other side, so explore the area until you open this shortcut.
If you have opened the shortcut, go through it and keep moving forward using the trees and wooden planks to go down the swamp.
Once you get to the bottom, you’ll see a large bonfire with some enemies nearby. Head left from the bonfire, and you’ll notice some vines blocking a path (if you have your volume up, you should also hear a humming from behind the vines).
How to Free the Petrified Woman
Once you break the vines, you’ll find the petrified woman on the other side. Talk to her, and she’ll ask you to release her. To do so, you’ll need to use a healing radiance spell on her (throwing an Empyrean Grenade at her also works). Once you free her, she’ll give you the Pendant of Induration.
Next, exhaust all of her dialogue options until she tells you to see her at the Bridge. Rest and go to Skyrest Bridge, where you’ll find the woman again in one of the holding cells that lead to the Vestige of Ethryg.
Talk to her, and she’ll offer to help you, but you’ll need to pay her in vigor afterward. From now on, you can summon the woman as a companion before any boss fights. However, you’ll need to visit her at the Bridge afterward to settle the payment. After using her services for a while (and paying her each time you do), she’ll leave behind the following items for you to loot:
- Kukajin’s Sword
- Kukajin’s Armor
- Kukajin’s Gloves
- Kukajin’s Leggings
- Envenomed Shield
However, there’s an alternative way to obtain Kukajin’s Sword. She’ll drop it as loot if you accidentally destroy her by rolling into her in Forsaken Fen.
