Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal Walkthrough Guide
At the start of the fight against Pieta, she will approach with a guarded stance. Her attacks will range between using her sword for general attacks and beams of Radiance. When she is using her sword, she will attack with far-reaching swipes. These will start slow but quickly whip around as she begins to swing. These can be dodged, parried, or blocked. Typically, she will swing her sword 2-3 times before pausing. In these moments, she will be vulnerable to attack. In addition to these successive attacks, she will also leap and swing her sword up and slam it down into the ground. Her moment to recover during these attacks will be slightly longer, giving you more of a chance to land an attack.
When it comes to attacking with the Radiant beams, she will take just a second to charge up a beam and blast it out. You’ll know when she’s about to do this, as she holds her sword straight forward to face you and the glow will begin to emit from the edge of the sword immediately. In addition to this, she will use a sword attack that will follow you, creating a path from Pieta to yourself. Both of these can be dodged and completely avoided.
Second Phase of the Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal Fight
During the second phase, she will fly to one end of the battlefield and hover in the air for a moment. This gives you plenty of time to move from her incoming attack. To do this, you’ll want to stand on either side of the arena, avoiding the middle. She will soon dash forward with a radiant arc slicing through the path, and a shower of golden arrows will fall from above. During this phase, Pieta can repeat this attack and she will sometimes vary it, by introducing golden replicas of herself. When this happens, you should view the battlefield as three lanes, where one lane is safe and the additional two are covered by the replicas’ attacks.

Once you’ve beaten Pieta, go into the Umbral if you’re not already. You’ll be able to Soulflay the body of Pieta in order to see a memory and receive Pieta’s special Remembrance of Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal as well as 2x Umbral Scouring.
