Tank/Disruptor
Mostly used as an object with a lot of AC on the battlefield. Especially early on. There is just no way she’d hit anything reliably, so might as well make it so enemies can’t really hit her either. 37 AC by level 5 is not so bad, eh?
Dazzling user and that’s pretty much the only thing she ever wants to do apart from poking enemies with a pointy thing, but she does become really good at it.
Alchemist is there for sneak dice and mutagen. We really don’t give a damn about his spells, but if you get your hands on a herbalist’s cape a bit of true-striking might happen.
Due to AC stacking fares quite well on unfair, as far as things fare well on unfair to begin with. Bad thing is there is only so much AC stacking you can do, so she does depends on gear quite a bit. That being said, it’s not hard to break 70AC on her.
Valerie really is a whole lot better than people tend to think of her. She has a lot of stats and all of them can be put to a good use invariably. I gradually upped the ranking for her over time and now I am at the conclusion she is one of the strongest companions in the game. Her ranking is still lower than Nok-Nok, but don’t let that fool you; it’s only because I rank characters compared to what they could be and not what they can do compared to each other.

Valerie the Annoying Dragon Build
I don’t believe in her hitting much with Power Attack+Cornugon Smash and prefer just manually using dazzling. Dreadful Carnage is an option too, but I don’t feel like she lasthits much, unless you constantly babysit her.
The plan is to play her as a standard tank till level 5, switch to Mithral Heavy plate and start casting pretty much the moment you arrive to your capital(presuming you saved up enough cash to buy it), then go for Heart of Valor and Mithral Armor +5 late from the master artisan. You can stick with Heart of Valor for the whole game wtihout much problems if you don’t get Mithral heavy +5, it’s not a big deal
Has all the spells you would need from arcane caster and can turn into a full fighter with Transformation should you need it. Also has an option to be a dragon Late-game should you reach lvl20,
I would like to give her crane style line, but I can’t find 4 feats to toss out.

Kinetic Valerie Build
16BAB kinetic knight, which is actually pretty decent. Quite a bit of AC. Decent AB, considering we attack touch AC. High Dazzling checks, Almost full damage that kineticist would have if we qualify for sneak-attack, Massive debuffs to anything we hit. We actually hit so well that you might consider switching to Disorienting Injury.
Burn yourself as you please. She has way too much HP anyway. Use +4Con Overflow.
Pretty ok by the virtue of being kineticist(so long as you don’t compare her to actual kineticists). I kept Her TSS progression mostly so her initial level wouldn’t be a complete waste. And late-game tower shields are good(also we can’t really ramp water shield any higher than +9AC in this build anyway)
2nd Element can be whatever you feel like. We don’t depend too much on that. Picked water so she can kinda maybe heal someone sometime.
Has uncanny dodge, blind-fight and evasion.

Bard Build
Valerie proves she can be anything you need her to be once again. If you need both a front-liner and a bard it will do just fine Don’t be afraid of -2 penalty on tower shield. She won’t hit much till she gets shatter defenses anyways and after she will just need to land 1 hit to go at it. Damage is not too impressive with only scaling being sense vitals, but the build is not about it.
Your resident dazzling user, buffer, singer and a tank. Touch AC kinda sucks, but there is little we can do about that.
