Stats Guide

Stats are an integral part of every RPG, and if you’re long-time RPG player, you’ll have an idea of how they work, but these are a bit different in Swag & Sorcery and I’ll help you figure it out!

Every stat has a description in-game. When you hover over the icon, it’ll say what it does… for the most part. Likely the more confusing part about stats in Swag & Sorcery is the elemental damage group. Unlike many other RPGs, elemental damage is an isolated secondary damage. What this means is that you will deal a certain amount of damage separately from your weapon’s. Let’s illustrate this with an example:

Your character has 20 Physical Damage and 10 Nature Damage. You attack an enemy with 50% Physical Damage resistance and 0 Nature Damage defence.

Your enemy will take 10 Physical Damage (because it’s absorbing 50%) and 10 Nature Damage. That’s 20 points subtracted from its HP.

Now, let’s assume your enemy has 50% resistance against Nature on top of its 50% physical damage resistance. This means they’ll take 10 points of Physical Damage and 5 points of Nature Damage, 15 points subtracted from its HP.
