The Sad Tale of the Grossbart Brothers Walkthrough

Approach and speak with Djenge Frett (Star Wars reference FTW!) by the ‘Blandare’ fast travel marker on Ard Skellige.

After speaking with Djenge Frett to start the quest, a new objective marker will appear on the map in the far southern region of Ard Skellig. You’ll want to travel to a town nearby that has a boat we can borrow – Fyresdal to the west and Redgill to the north of the marker will both suffice.

Once you have a boat, sail your way down to the southern coastline of Ard Skellig and close to where the objective marker appears you should find a cave at the water level that we can sail up to. Hop out of the boat and continue inside – this will also unlock a new fast travel marker ‘Grotto’.

Upon entering the cave, take the right and loot the containers here (I found Manuscript Page: Superior Relict Oil). Follow the tunnel a little further into the underground area to bump into Djenge Frett again. Approach him for a scene. Following the conversation, we’ll need to escort the bounty hunter a little further into the cave.

Note: If Djenge dies, you will fail the side-quest immediately, so make sure you keep him out of danger!

When you reach the next large, cavernous area you’ll bump into three level 26 enemies. These are the Grossbart Brothers, one is armed with a sword, another with an axe and the third with a bow. Kill them all whilst keeping Djenge alive to complete the quest.

Before leaving the area, loot the chests in the room they were guarding for a Diagram: Enhanced Ursine Armor, Diagram: Axeman’s Boots and Diagram: Alder Folk Boots.

Note: For completing the side-quest you’ll earn 25XP and 50 Crowns.
