Tools required for your Holy Cogitator to perform the modifications
First you have to chant the Dogma Mechanicus out loud, three times:
++THERE IS NO TRUTH IN FLESH, ONLY BETRAYAL++
++THERE IS NO STRENGTH IN FLESH, ONLY WEAKNESS++
++THERE IS NO CONSTANCY IN FLESH, ONLY DECAY++
++THERE IS NO CERTAINTY IN FLESH, ONLY DEATH++
Then, press the Power Rune on your holy Cogitator, be it big or small, be it mobile or immobile.
Wait until the data-screen is shining, in this, you know the Omnissiah is with you.
In order to perform Holy work, you need Holy tools. The Omnissiah has already blessed you with his Holy Cogitator, you need one more data-tool for this tech-ritual, a type of data-tool from early 3rd millenium, known in lower Gothic as “Hex Editor”. There are many data-tools that fits this description, one of such is designated by residents of Old Terra as “HxD”.
Once you download the data-tool into your Holy Cogitator, your work is ready to begin.
Location of the Data-slate
The data-slate lies within your Holy Cogitator at the data-location of:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\BattlefleetGothic2\Saved\SaveGames\Campaign
The Tech-Ritual of Plentifulness and Fame
Use data-cursor to double click on “Hex Editor” until the holy box show up. Praise the Omnissiah three times. Open the data-slate generated by Battlefleet Gothic Armada II at the previously given location.
If your Cogitator is showing a similar feed as the pict-grab above, then you have successfully opened the data-slate generated by Battlefleet Gothic Armada II. Celebrate this act by praising the Omnissiah three times and thank him for his blessings upon your holy Cogitator.
Now, it is time to look for the data-points from Battlefleet Gothic Armada II within the data-slate. First of all, we need to know the data first.
For example:
We have 88 renown and 241 resources. We need to change numbers into hex through the usage of a simpler cogitator, known as a calculator.
As we can see, the Machine Spirit tells us 88 in decimal-lingo translates to 58 in hexadecimal-lingo while 241 in decimal-lingo translates into F1 in hexadecimal-lingo. Utilize “Search protocols” within “Hex Editor” by pressing a combination of two runes, Ctrl and F. Search for “BP_CampaignCommander_Imperium_C”. The Machine Spirit will guide you to the location.
Then, change search “datatype” from “text-strings” to “hex-values” and look for the previous hex values “58” and “F1”.
Alter them into what you desire.
Save and reload the dataslate into Battlefleet Gothic Armada II.
The Tech-Ritual of Technology and Construction
Praise be to the Omnissiah, His will be done.
Now that He has grant us the resources and the fame to serve the Imperium better, it is time to put these to use.
Fight a battle in the name of the Emperor and the Omnissiah so the renown is converted into ranks.
Take note of the amount of upgrade points, the shipyards alongside their respective construction points that can be used to build ships.
As we can see, we have 3 points in Demios Binary and 2 points in Clausten.
Go back to the “Hex Editor”, utilize search protocols again and look for said 15 in hexadecimal-lingo (which is 0F) near “CampaignCommander_Imperium_C”.
Shown here in relation to the data beacon “CampaignCommander_Imperium_C” we used previously. Alter the number into whatever you wish.
As for construction points the syntax is properNoun_<system name>_<planetname>. For example, if we are to look for Demios Binary, we should search for properNoun_Cadian_demiosbinary.
The construction point is stored immediately after the hex part of properNoun_Cadian_demiosbinary as circled. Alter the value into whatever you wish so you can build multiple battleships in one turn.
As you can see, the Miracle of Omnissiah is in action, a shipyard that cannot construct battleships can now construct two battleships for the Omnissiah has granted us His favor.
Remember
Before attempting these tech-rituals, make back-ups for your data-slates in case of the corruption of Machine-Spirit may lead to the loss of said data-slates.
Praise the Omnissiah!
