Remnant From the Ashes Rusty Place Walkthrough

Remnant From the Ashes Rusty Place

Note: The game features procedurally generated levels, which means that you probably won’t find all the items that we’ve located in the same place. Instead, this item could be somewhere else, or you’ll pick another thing. This mostly concerns intermediate dungeons. Besides, you could meet other bosses in these dungeons. However, the other part of the game, including main bosses, is not procedurally generated.

Rusty Place Walkthrough

Return to Ward 13. Go to the stairs that went down to level B1. Descend further down to B2, where Ward 13 is located. You can explore its remote corners to collect useful bonuses and find out the origin of root-like creatures. Remember the key card found in the Founder’s hideout? There will be a closed door with a terminal. Apply the card to this terminal to get into the long corridor. On the right is the reception desk, and there is a Tome of Knowledge. Pick it up to instantly get a trait point. You will find the corresponding tab on the character screen (C key).

Go further through the corridor and turn to the first room on the left. There will be a computer with much more information. Read all reports, journals, and letters to learn about alternate worlds and the origin of root-like creatures. In the second room on the left will be a recorder on the table. Use it to get a new trait Elder Knowledge. Each trait point invested in it will increase the experience multiplier. Finally, in the third room on the left is a fuse. This is a quest item. There is even a special tab in the inventory for such things.

Go to a corridor on the right and check side rooms. In the second room on the right hand, there is another computer with a journal. Inspect other rooms and computers, go to the end of the corridor and hit the locked door. Here you need a regular key. By the way, one of the rooms is closed, but there is a window without a bar nearby. Make your way there to find a bandage and an ammunition box (instantly restores ammo for all weapons).

Go down the stairs to level B3 and insert the fuse into a power box on the wall on the left. Go to the door and apply the key card to the terminal on the right. Follow the corridor and search the side rooms to collect consumables. In the far room, there is a locked computer. To get access to it, you need some kind of item. Go to the next doorway and find a Tome of Knowledge that gives 1 trait point. Go back to the computer and insert the Founder’s key into the opening on the right. Activate a mirror and go through it.

Follow the only route. Activate a small crystal, proceed further and fight Dreamer.

How to Beat Dreamer

Phase 1: Doc oc, just shoot him in the face, dodge roll his aerial assault attack / ground slam x2 / sweeping attack. he will also do a cyclone attack which pulls you into him but I’ve never taken damage.

Phase 2: The fun part. Okay so this part the health is extremely high and you are unable to kill it by any normal means (unless you a glitchy boi and figured something out to do insane damage) so the boss is going to shoot six orbs at you which you can honestly just sprint out of the way. Sometimes they like to track you and you will have to dodge it. Moving on. When you see the boss start to do a little twirl its going to teleport you/someone into a shadow realm. There is going to be a portal inside this room.

Very Important: The person in this realm needs to kill adds, you will get a stacking buff for every enemy killed. Pop a bloodwort and a frenzy potion to sustain life as you will take constant damage but its small enough for the bloodwort potion to give you an edge. Kill as much as you want but do not die. Once you get your stacks, leave via the portal and light that boss up. It will target you with the six orbs so dont get hit. Once you do enough damage the boss will be staggered and its chest will open up leaving the boy open for attack and that’s its weak point. Only the buffed player will do significant damage, so if you are playing with others have them on add clear.

How to Beat Nightmare

The final boss you’ll face in Remnant: From the Ashes is accessible via the key obtained by the Founder. This will allow you to unlock a secret area in B3 area of Ward 13. Here, enter the Research Lab and interact with the mirror to reach Ward 17 and the Dreamer boss.

The Dreamer, as pictured above, is a hovering boss that will send out fast moving clusters of projectiles and will often do it from far away. For such a fight, it’s encouraged to use a high-calibre sniper rifle and if possible, employ the aid of a friend in co-op to make the fight easier. While he’s on the ground, a swipe attack with the cables will cover a large radius so roll backwards.

Then there’s a ground slam attack which causes a mini-explosion. Deal with the smaller goons, as usual while focusing fire on the cybernetic helmet of the Dreamer. Once you bring his health down to zero, Dreamer transforms into a much larger beast, Nightmare (pictured below).

From the circular blue spirals on its wings, the Nightmare will send out fireballs one by one in quick succession, however these projectiles are slower than Dreamer’s and easier to dodge. It also takes a while to charge so you can always predict these fireball attacks.

The Nightmare will then initiate a sequence whereby your visibilty is fogged and smaller minions appear which you can fight or flee from. During this sequence, you cannot see or fight The Nightmare. Find an archaic symbol in the darkness to get back to the normal fight with The Nightmare.

The final boss has perhaps the largest health pool, understandably so. So give it everything you got, from ranged weapons to incendiary ammo to applying poison status effects. If aren’t carrying any powerful weapons or an ally to help you, this will be a very long fight indeed.

There’s an additional attack where The Nightmare marks you as the target and focuses an instant telepathic attack. This is when the same archaic symbol appears on the boss enemy. You can dodge it by moving away at the right instant.

You have to play this fight slow and methodological. With patience and dishing damage here and there, you’ll be brought to the end of the fight. There are no tricks up Nightmare’s sleeves (if it has some). Eliminate it and bring an end to your hellish journey in Remnant: From the Ashes.
