when you’re done building something that took a good bit of time/effort, it’s natural to want to show it off, maybe even share it with others so they can enjoy it in their own games. blueprints make that possible!

to begin (after finishing a build you want to then share), craft an empty blueprint and select it in your hotbar/hold it in your hand like a tool.

then go to your build and left click on the ground on the outside of your build, then the opposite side diagonally, to select a box that is the foundation of your build.

then use the ‘page up’ key on the keyboard to expand the selection area upwards.

examine the selected area and adjust with the arrow keys and page up/down keys to make sure your entire build is selected, but nothing else is. (if it’s too close to other objects, you may need to make a temporary blueprint that includes some of those things, place it, remove them, then re-make the blueprint without them)

then hold right click to save the blueprint! you will need to give it a unique name to make sure it saves, but the folder name is optional and you can move it into a folder manually later.

to share this blueprint with other users, they will need to download the file and place it into their game directory manually. and for them to do that, you need to upload the file first. the official rising world website has forums dedicated specifically for this, but you can also send friends the file directly if you don’t want it to be open to the entire public. here’s where the UNITY blueprints are stored;

have fun sharing blueprints! and remember, each one is a labor of love from an artist. do not upload blueprints made by anyone but yourself, and always credit creators if you are sharing screenshots or larger blueprints that contain or are heavily inspired by others’ work.
